Discuss and consider action approving a revised PCDC’s Comprehensive Economic Development Strategic Plan 3.0 (CEDS 3.0).
Summary
The PCDC approved CEDS 3.0 on January 17, 2024 and forwarded it to City Council for further review and potential revisions. Following suggested changes during the February 13th workshop and city council meeting, the staff worked with Ernst and Young to make revisions and bring the revised version to City Council on April 9, 2024. It was approved by the City Council 6-0. Revisions are noted in the Summary of Changes provided in the PCDC Board Packet. We are bringing back the revised CEDS 3.0 for acceptance by the board.
Prior Action
The PCDC board approved a contract with Ernst & Young on June 28, 2023 and City Council approved the contract on July 11, 2023. PCDC and City council approved funding in the FY22 and FY23 Budgets for the total contract expenditures of $195,000. PCDC Board approved the final draft of the CEDS 3.0 Strategic Plan on January 17, 2024. The City Council reviewed the CEDS 3.0 on January 23, 2024, requested revisions, and approved the final revised plan on April 9, 2024.
