Summary
The Parks and Recreation Department seeks approval for a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Austin FC and the 4ATX Foundation to facilitate a surface art installation on the upcoming sport court at Stone Hill Park.
Under the MOU, 4ATX will oversee the selection and commissioning of a local artist for the installation, with an allocated budget of $30,000. They will also manage day-to-day coordination with the chosen artist.
Furthermore, the City of Pflugerville, 4ATX, and Austin FC will collaborate on a ribbon-cutting ceremony to inaugurate the sport court. Additionally, a future partnership will grant 4ATX the right to utilize the court annually for an event, such as a tournament or community-impact initiative, subject to mutual agreement on the date.
In return, the City of Pflugerville commits to maintaining the surface art and addressing normal wear and tear following completion.
