Discussion regarding planning for and managing Advanced Life Support Emergency Medical Services (EMS) within the City of Pflugerville.

Summary
The City currently contracts with Allegiance Mobile Health to provide this ambulance service within the City limits. The contract with Allegiance Mobile Health will expire on June 30, 2024 and a new contract must be negotiated, or a new ALS EMS provider selected.

This item is supported by the Safety pillar of the Strategic Plan.

Prior City Council Action
City Council approved the Contract for Emergency and Non-Emergency Ground Ambulance Services for the City of Pflugerville with Acadian Ambulance Services of Texas - November 11, 2021.
City Council approved termination of the Contract for Emergency and Non-emergency Ground Ambulance Services for the City of Pflugerville, Texas with Acadian Ambulance on March 8, 2022.
City Council approved selection of Travis County ESD2 as the public provider of EMS and authorized the City Manager to enter negotiations regarding an agreement on May 10, 2022.
City Council approved direction to staff to cease negotiations but seek a joint meeting with the City Council and Travis County ESD2 Board of Commissioners and begin negotiations with Allegiance Mobile Health on May 24, 2022.
City Council approved the Contract for Emergency and Non-Emergency Ground Ambulance Services for the City of Pflugerville with Allegiance Mobile Health - June 14, 2022.
