Title
Discussion and consider action approving a Professional Services Agreement in the amount of $243,400.00 with DCS for engineering and final design services to connect Helios Way Right-in and Right-out Driveway to SH130 Frontage road and authorizing the Executive Director to execute the same.
Summary
PCDC is requesting the final design of Helios Way Right-in & Right-out Driveway connection to SH130 access ramp. Helios Way right of way, extends eastwards from Impact Way intersection to SH-130 Frontage Road right of way and was platted as a 70-foot Public Access and Utility Easement. The project includes increasing the width of the existing pavement to 48 ft, to match the Helios Way road that extends westwards from the Impact Way intersection and connecting Helios Way to SH-130 Frontage Road with a driveway. The driveway connection, as well as one deceleration lane and one acceleration lane that are required, will be designed to TxDOT standards to accommodate incoming and outgoing traffic. The size and geometry of the driveway and the deceleration and acceleration lanes will be designed based on the volume of expected traffic (Average Daily Trips) and the maximum expected vehicle size. TxDOT coordination and permitting efforts, engineering studies and reports will also be included in the scope of this project.
