Summary

The property is a platted 2.5 acres lot located along the east side of Weiss Lane, generally southeast of the Weiss Lane and Kelly Lane intersection, north of Hidden Lake Crossing Blvd. The property was previously owned by the Pflugerville Community Development Corporation and sold for economic development. The subdivision was platted in 2008 and rezoned in 2009 from Agriculture/Conservation (A) to Light Industrial (LI) by the current property owner. The Comprehensive Plan designates the area with medium to high density adjacent to single family. The proposed rezoning will enable commercial land uses and design standards that can be supported along Weiss Lane and with the surrounding neighborhoods. The City Council conducted a public hearing and approved first reading of the ordinance on May 24, 2011.

Planning and Zoning Commission Recommendation

On May 2, 2011, the Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a public hearing and unanimously recommended approval to change the zoning from Light Industrial (LI) to General Business 2 (GB2) for Lot 1, Pflugerville Industrial Park.
