Approving an ordinance on second reading with the caption reading: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PFLUGERVILLE, TEXAS, ADOPTING THE SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE FISCAL YEAR 2010-2011 BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF PFLUGERVILLE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
Summary
During the fiscal year it becomes necessary to amend the approved budget to allow for expenditures and revenue that were not originally approved. During fiscal year 2010-2011, budget amendments will be processed on a quarterly basis. Attached is a summary of the requested amendments for the second quarter which includes the purpose of the amendment proposal, the amounts, the line items affected, and the narrative from the referenced City Manager Report regarding the necessity for the amendment. At its May 5, 2011, meeting the Finance and Budget Committee discussed this amendment and unanimously recommended approval as presented.
Prior City Council Action
The FY 2010-2011 Budget was approved on September 14, 2010. The first quarter amendment to this budget was approved on February 22, 2011. This ordinance was approved on first reading on May 24, 2011.

Prior to the end of the 2011 fiscal year.
Projected Future City Council Action
Subsequent amendments will be presented for approval for the remaining two quarters of the fiscal year.
