Approving a resolution amending the membership of the Finance and Budget Committee to consist of two Councilmembers and five citizen members.
Summary
The Finance and Budget Committee has continued to have an open position for a citizen member since January 2011. With the election of citizen member Brad Marshall to the City Council, another citizen member opening is established on the committee. I recommend that the City Council now return to its original composition of two Councilmembers and five citizen members. The five citizen members remaining are Anna Swenson and David Garlick with terms ending December 31, 2011; and Melody Ryan, Nicole Ward and Rex King with terms ending December 31, 2012. The City Council will designate their two members for the coming year under the item addressing the Council's membership on committees and as liaisons under item 9C, 2011-0627.

The City Council took action on March 23, 2010, to expand the Finance and Budget Committee membership to two Councilmembers and seven citizens.

Victor Gonzales and former Councilmember Mike Marsh were the Council representatives on the Finance and Budget Committee for 2010/2011. Mr. Brad Marshall previously served on the Finance and Budget Committee as a citizen member with a term ending December 31, 2011.
