Discuss and consider action to approve a TIP Strategies agreement for a Pflugerville Workforce Study in the amount $75,000, authorizing PCDC expenditures not to exceed $50,000 to be matched by a $25,000 Texas Workforce Commission grant, and authorizing the President to execute the same following approval by City Council.
Summary
The PCDC Board approved the initial TIP Strategies Workforce Study agreement on January 17, 2024 and recommended forwarding to City Council for approval. On January 23, 2024 the council provided additional guidance on the scope of the agreement and requested the item to be brought back to Council on February 13th. TIP Strategies agreed to enter into negotiations on a new revised contract to accommodate council recommendations and to incorporate additional terms per the PCDC Attorney. At the February 13th Council meeting, the PCDC presented the new contract to the Council for review of the scope of work and to consider further changes. Council had no changes, and referred the contract to the PCDC Board for approval, and requested that the contract be back after approval of the CEDS 3.0. The PCDC Staff have received notice that the grant award has been extended to accommodate the schedule to complete the contract.
