Summary
This item is for approval of new parks amenities in the Stone Hill Park, located at 1124 Town Center Dr. The improvement includes a basketball court with in-ground infrastructure for goals that can be used to play soccer, hockey and lacrosse, along with perimeter fencing and some bench seating. This multi-sport court directly supports the feedback from the public during the Parks and Recreation master planning process.
Funds being used for this project are from the Parkland Escrow account supplied by residential developers of the Wilke Ln Development and stays within in our 10 min walk to a park goal. The vendor is a BuyBoard vendor, contract # 679-22.
Cambridge Heights is the 9th most visited park in our park system with an average dwell time of 90 minutes.
This park improvement supports City Council strategic goals to engage the community through vibrant parks and recreation services, and meets the goal of the Parks and Recreation Master Plan to improve health infrastructure for youth and families.
