...Title

Discuss and consider action on Resolution 2024-005 to donate equipment to Pflugerville Independent School District purchased for the purpose of training emergency medical technicians as part of the High Demand Job Training Grant.

...Summary

The PCDC Board approved a Workforce Development Grant to purchase  $145,084.97 of equipment for the Pflugerville ISD Emergency Medical Technician Training Program in September 2022.   The funding was used to meet requirements for the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) High Demand Job Training Matching Grant Program administered by the Workforce Solutions Capital Area Board (WSCAB) for additional equipment purchases that were made for the PFISD.  While the PCDC expended the funds in FY22, an extension was requested by the Workforce Solutions Capital Area to complete their matching purchases.  The request was approved by TWC to include an Amended Memorandum of Understanding with PCDC, PFISD and WFSCA dated April 27, 2023.  The matching grant program requires that the ownership of the equipment purchased by the PCDC remain under their control until the grant is completed. The MOU notes that the PFISD will accept the donation of the equipment at the end of the grant period as intended by the PCDC Board.  All purchases were completed and the grant was finalized on April 30, 2024. The equipment purchased by the PCDC includes trauma mannequins and cardiac defibrillators which will be donated to the PFISD if the resolution is approved.
