Summary

The proposed annexation consists of a total of approximately 105.576 acres of land, which includes approximately 7.47 acres of right-of-way for Jesse Bohls Road and Cameron Road, generally located at the southeast corner of Jesse Bohls Road, and north and west of Cameron Road, within the City's extraterritorial jurisdiction. The subject property is contiguous to the City limits by way of non-annexation development agreements as allowed under Chapter 43 of Texas Local Government Code, therefore considered contiguous and eligible for voluntary annexation in accordance with state law. 

 

Pursuant to the Texas Local Government Code (TLGC) Section 43.0672, the City entered into a written agreement with the owners of land in the area for the provision of City services on October 11, 2022.

 

City Attorney has approved the ordinance as to form.

 

Prior City Council Action

On October 11, 2022, City Council approved the post-annexation provision of services agreement through the Resolution when the Meadowlark Preserve Public Improvement District was created. On January 24, 2023, City Council approved the annexation on first reading.
