Approving a conditional purchase agreement and associated conveyance documents between Norman and Virginia R. Weiss (Parcel No. 19) and the City of Pflugerville as necessary to acquire real property interests for the 794’ PZ Weiss Lane Kelly Lane Water Line Project and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same.
The 794’ Pressure Zone Weiss Lane Kelly Lane Water Line Project requires property acquisition, including the acquisition of temporary construction easements and permanent easements necessary to construct the project. The City’s property acquisition consultant and city staff have negotiated with Norman and Virginia R. Weiss for the necessary temporary construction easements and permanent easement for Parcel No. 19. The cost of $247,561.00 was agreed upon, subject to City Council approval, based on appraisals obtained by the City. This item supports the sustainable structure pillar of the City's Strategic Plan.
Easement acquisitions for the 794’ PZ Weiss Lane Kelly Lane Water Line Project include a total of ten (10) easements within parcels.
Staff continues bi-weekly coordination meetings with the property acquisition agent, in addition to hosting monthly coordination meetings with the engineering design consultants for the 794’ PZ Weiss Lane Kelly Lane Water Line Project.
Approval of this item will authorize the City Manager to execute the temporary construction easements, permanent easement, and associated conveyance documents necessary for formal conveyance of the real property interests.
Prior City Council Action
On October 26, 2021, City Council approved a Professional Services Agreement with Seven Arrows Land Staff, LLC., in the amount of $102,500 for right-of-way services for the 794’ PZ Weiss Lane Kelly Lane Water Line Project.
