Summary
The proposed agenda item is to approve a Professional Services Agreement with CP&Y, Inc. in the amount of $123,555 for Funding Support Services. This item supports by the infrastructure pillar of the Strategic Plan.
To support the City’s growing population and demand on infrastructure, City Staff have enlisted CP&Y to identify and pursue additional funding and grant opportunities for program projects. Support services include identifying revenue streams for Transportation, Parks, Emergency Services, Water and Wastewater. Along with low-cost loan opportunities through the Texas Water Development Board and the EPA’s Water Infrastructure and Innovation Act (WIFIA), Grant funding opportunities include Texas Parks and Wildlife, Texas Department of Transportation, Federal Emergency Management Agency, and the Bureau of Land Management.
CP&Y’s proposed scope of services includes:
• The EPA’s Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (WIFIA) program funding support and management services.
• Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) Central Wastewater Treatment Plant Phase 2 funding support and management services.
• Identify, educate, and pursue additional funding and grant opportunities for program projects.
These financial support services are intended to provide funding opportunities to the Capital Improvements Program and to all City departments.
