Summary
On October 27, 2020, the City Council approved a professional engineering contract with CP&Y, Inc. for Design, Bidding and Construction Phase Services of the Sorento Wastewater Interceptor Phase 2 project, identified as Project 6 in the adopted 2020 Wastewater Master Plan.
The purpose of the Sorento Wastewater Interceptor Phase 2 project is to relieve the Weiss Lane Lift Station by diverting wastewater flow by gravity to the Carmel Lift Station, and ultimately to the future Wilbarger Creek Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility. This project will also include the decommissioning of the Verona Lift Station.
This design and construction phase services is comprised of Approximately 12,200 LF of 15” & 36” wastewater line along Upper Wilbarger Creek within new alignment that requires development of alternatives and final right-of-way acquisition. The proposed work authorization by & Arrows shall provide land services to support the City in execution of the Sorento Interceptor Phase 2 project. Services shall include:
* Obtaining Rights of Entry
* Title Research and Procurement
* Presenting Offers
* Negotiation and Closing of all types of land rights
- Right of Way
- Temporary Construction and Permanent Easement
- Property Acquisition
* Other services may also be included, as directed by City
- Assistance with Open Houses
- Similar Meetings with the public
- Presentations
- Other Real Estate and Property work as needed
The proposed services was previously identified within the CP&Y contract schedule (attached) and this action is requested to memorialize & Arrows as the City-Selected subconsultant to be included as part of the team for the Sorento Interceptor project.
Prior City Council Action
Seven Arrows Land Staff, LLC. is one of the five (5) firms selected to provide Right-of-Way Services at the November 12, 2019 City Council meeting.
