Summary
The City of Pflugerville entered a contract for collection of delinquent court fines with McCreary Veselka Bragg & Allen P.C. Attorneys at Law in 2021 (MVBA) which is complete in July of 2024.
The City issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) which was advertised from May 13 until May 29, 2024 at 2 p.m. The RFP Review Committee evaluated all three submissions received from McCreary, Veselka, Bragg & Allen, P.C. (MVBA); Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson, LLP; and Perdue Brandon Fielder, Collins, and Mott, LLP. Evaluators from multiple city departments including the City Managers Office, Municipal Court and Finance reviewed the proposal and recommend awarding the contract to McCreary, Veselka, Bragg & Allen, P.C (MVBA). Attached are two contracts: Pflugerville UB Contract 2024 for utility services and Pflugerville MC Contract 2024 for municipal court.
Prior City Council Action
In July 2021, City Council approved the selection of McCreary Veselka Bragg & Allen P.C. Attorneys at Law for delinquent court fines and fees collection services.
On 4/13/21 council terminated existing contract with Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson, LLP and directed staff to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP).
