Summary
The City Manager executed a professional services agreement with Halff Associates, Inc. on June 14, 2019 for 2019 Pflugerville Transportation Bond Projects Federal Funding Application in the amount of $39,810 to prepare and submit USDOT Better Utilizing Investments to Leverage Development (BUILD) application for funding for three roadways as part of the 2019 Pflugerville Transportation Bond program.
The first supplemental agreement was approved by City Council at the June 25, 2019 for $353,677.00 for the initial phase of Preliminary Design Schematic for each of the roadways, environmental analyses, preliminary geotechnical analyses, traffic counts and projections, Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE). The schematic level of design was to submit to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) for federal funding consideration.
The second supplemental agreement was approved by the City Council at the January 28, 2020 for $648,955.00 for the development of construction Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E). The services were broken down into five (5) main tasks: project management, Subsurface Utility Engineering, Construction Documents, Public Involvement and Permitting.
This agreement delineates the construction phase services that the design consultant will provided to the City for Picadilly Drive and Central Commerce Drive. These services are split in two main tasks: Bid and Construction Phase services. The latter is split into two sub-tasks: Construction Administration and Construction Materials Testing (CST) for quality control testing of materials during construction. The CST will be performed by Raba Kistner Consultants, Inc.
The construction portion of these projects is being funded through the 2020 Transportation GO Bond.
