Summary
The proposed agenda item requests approval of a Work Authorization with Seven Arrows Land Staff, LLC (7 Arrows) staff to provide right-of-way and appraisal services for the New Sweden Lift Station and Force Main Project.
On June 11, 2024, City Council approved a professional services agreement with Pape-Dawson Consulting Engineers, LLC to provide design and construction phase services on the New Sweden Lift Station and Force Main Project. The proposed lift station and force main will accept and convey sanitary sewer flows from the proposed New Sweden MUD #1, #2 and #3. The design phase has progressed to 80% completion, finalizing the alignment. The alignment identified Five (5) parcels of land within the project limits. At this time, it is critical to begin the property acquisition coordination with the effected property owners and the project team to maintain the project schedule.
The proposed work authorization includes a comprehensive list of services related to the necessary property acquisition on eleven parcels of land for the project. The scope of work includes:
1. Obtain right-of-entries
2. Maintain administrative documents and assist with recordation of easements
3. Property record research
4. Appraisal reports
5. Owner negotiations
6. Project management
This item supports the Infrastructure pillar of the Strategic Plan.
Prior City Council Action
City Council approved a professional services agreement with Pape-Dawson Consulting Engineers LLC, in the amount of $370,043.00 to provide Preliminary Engineering Report phase services associated with the New Sweden Lift Station and Force Main Project at the June 11, 2024, meeting.
