Title

Approving a conditional purchase agreement and associated conveyance documents between Arabon Real Estate, LLC (Parcel No. 14)  and the City of Pflugerville as necessary to acquire real property interests for the Secondary Colorado River Raw Water Line Project, and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same.

 

Summary

The proposed agenda item requests the approval of a conditional purchase agreement and associated conveyance documents between Arabon Real Estate, LLC (Parcel No. 14) and the City of Pflugerville as necessary to acquire real property interests for the Secondary Colorado River Raw Water Line Project. This item supports the sustainable structure pillar of the City’s Strategic Plan.

 

The Secondary Colorado River Raw Water Line Project requires property acquisition of a temporary construction easement necessary to construct the project. The City’s property acquisition consultant and city staff have negotiated with Arabon Real Estate, LLC Trust for the necessary temporary construction easement for Parcel No. 14. The cost of $118,662.00 was agreed upon, subject to City Council approval, based on appraisals obtained by the City.

 

Easement acquisitions for the Secondary Colorado River Raw Water Line Project include a total of sixty (60) easements within eighty-nine (89) parcels along the fifteen (15) mile project.

Staff continues bi-weekly coordination meetings with the property acquisition agent, in addition to hosting monthly Utility coordination meetings with the utility providers for the Secondary Colorado River Raw Water Line Project.

 

Approval of this item will authorize the City Manager to execute the temporary construction easement and associated conveyance documents necessary for formal conveyance of the real property interests.

 

Prior City Council Action

City Council approved a Professional Services Agreement with Seven Arrows Land Staff, LLC., in the amount of $618,750.00 for right-of-way services for Secondary Colorado River Raw Water Line Project on February 28, 2021.

City Council approved a Professional Services Agreement with CP&Y, Inc. dba STV for professional Services associated with the Secondary Colorado River Raw Water Line Project in the amount $1,430,440.00 on May 26, 2022
