Title
Presentation on Pflugerville Pfirecracker Pfestival 2015.
Summary
The city is ready to celebrate Independence Day at Lake Pflugerville for 2015 with the Pfirecracker Pfestival from 3 p.m. - 11 p.m. on Friday, July 3. The pfestival includes live music performances on both the north and the south shores of Lake Pflugerville.
Changes to plan ahead for 2015: With no onsite parking, festival parking is at Hendrickson High School, 19201 Colorado Sand Drive, with shuttles running to and from the lake. It won't matter if you load a bus from the south or the north shore since all buses will loop to Hendrickson High School. The last bus leaves the lake at 11:30 p.m. There are no drop-off points to load and unload at the lake. You may carry items on the shuttle buses such as blankets, chairs, coolers, backpacks and small propane gas grills. Details <http://www.pflugervilletx.gov/pfirecracker>
With Independence Day falling on the weekend, the celebration will be held on the legal holiday, Friday, July 3 to allow the lake to remain open all weekend for the public to enjoy. The lake is closed on Thursday, July 2 to allow for event setup and will reopen at noon on Friday, July 3.
The boat ramp is closed to all vehicles and boat unloading on Friday, July 3. Kayak and paddleboard rentals may be arranged with Pflug Pfun onsite. Watercraft are off the lake by 8 p.m.
Fireworks will again launch from the southwest corner of Lake Pflugerville.
Please anticipate some delays immediately after the fireworks, but with 42 buses running simultaneous routes, you will be able to hop a shuttle and leave after the show. Guests are encouraged to stay and enjoy music after the fireworks from Duck Soup on the south shore or watch the 1965 movie "Beach Blanket Bingo" on the north shore.
