Authorizing the City Manager to execute Utility Conveyance and Security Agreements between Sorento Holdings 2012 LLC and the City of Pflugerville for water and sanitary sewer improvements to serve Travis County Municipal Utility District No. 17 (MUD 17) for Phases 2 and 3 of the Sorento subdivision.
Summary
In conjunction with the development agreements between Sorento Holdings 2012 LLC and the City of Pflugerville, approving this agreement will convey all water and sanitary sewer facilities located within MUD 17, specifically within phases 2 and 3 of the Sorento subdivision, to the City of Pflugerville. The City has inspected and accepted all water and sanitary sewer infrastructure within phases 2 and 3 of the Sorento subdivision, subject to this agreement. As a result of the agreement, the City will have ownership and maintenance obligations for all water and sanitary sewer infrastructure within phases 2 and 3 of the Sorento subdivision portion of MUD 17. The City Attorney has reviewed and approved the Utility Conveyance and Security Agreements as to form.
Approval of this item authorizes the City Manager to execute the agreement and subsequently record it with Travis County.
Prior City Council Action
City Council approved the execution of the Utility Conveyance and Security Agreement for Phase 1 of the Sorento Subdivision on May 27, 2014.

Fiscal Impact
The City will be responsible for maintaining the water and sanitary sewer system within the Sorento Subdivision. These costs will be included in the operations and maintenance budget for the Water Distribution and Sewer Collection departments. Upon build out, the overall Sorento development consists of 944 single family lots and 2 lots designated multifamily. Sorento Phase 2 includes 70 single family lots and Sorento Phase 3 includes 95 single family lots.

Authorize the City Manager to execute the agreement to establish the proposed easement.
