Summary
An existing 11.116-acre drainage easement, recorded as Document No. 2013220058 in Travis County Real Property Records, covers an existing drainage conveyance area which bisects the land available for development as part of the Heatherwilde Multi-family development. This property is located on the west side of Heatherwilde Boulevard north of Wells Branch Parkway.
The developer would like to reclaim 4.682-acres of the existing drainage easement by performing grading and channel improvements to allow the design storm flow to be conveyed within a reduced area. The developer submitted plans and calculations to the City which demonstrate that the proposed improvements will comply with City standards and requirements and will convey the required flow within the reduced area.
Council approval of this Resolution will authorize the City Manager to execute the documents to vacate, abandon and release a portion of the existing drainage easement as set forth in the Resolution. Council consideration of this resolution is being requested prior to project approval and permit issuance for the proposed grading work. After the improvements are constructed and accepted by the City, the City will execute and record the partial drainage easement vacation document in the Real Property Records of Travis County.
