Summary
This resolution authorizes the City Manager to apply for, accept, and execute, if awarded, a Coronavirus Emergency Supplemental Funding Program award in the amount of $22,168.93 from the Office of the Governor for the purchase of equipment and PPE supplies related to the preparation and response to the COVID-19 pandemic for First Responders (Law Enforcement). There is no funding match required for this grant from the City. Please find the attached staff memo and resolution.
The Pflugerville Police Department currently has a need for sterilization equipment and consumable supplies in support of the COVID-19 response. If approved, this award will be used to purchase sanitizing equipment, face masks, safety glasses, N95 masks, thermometers, and Tyvek suits and gloves to equip First Responders (Law Enforcement) with the proper safety equipment for contact with the public.
