Summary
This project is associated with the 2020 General Obligation Bond Parks Projects. Wilbarger Creek Park Phase 2 improvements includes parking, concrete paving, sidewalks, lighting, 112 standard parking spaces, 6 ADA spaces, bridge with handrails, a plaza with picnic tables, concrete trails and a dog park, with pre-purchased pre-fabricated restroom. Competitive sealed proposal was utilized as the optimum method of delivery for this project.
The solicitation for proposal was published in local newspapers and to the on-line electronic bidding platform on August 16, 2023. Proposals were opened on September 13, 2023, a total of three proposals were received. All three firms were subsequently interviewed by the selection committee. After the interviews the firms were scored, Patin Construction LLC was identified as the most qualified firm and best value to the City. Staff concurs with the design engineer’s recommendation to award the construction contract for the Wilbarger Creek Park Phase 2 Project to Patin Construction LLC.
