Approving an update to the contract with TRIPPP Ridesharing Consultants to ensure continuity of wheelchair accessible vehicle (WAV) rides, and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same.
Summary
On August 23, 2022, City Council approved a contract with TRIPPP Consulting to provide transit for the City in cooperation with UBER and Maruti. This program began on October 1, 2022, at the conclusion of the transit pilot program with Capital Metro (CMTA), which ended September 30, 2022. The rideshare program, Pfetch a Ride, was then established as a voucher program offering the opportunity for residents and visitors traveling within the City limits and to and from Tech Ridge Park and Ride the opportunity to utilize an alternate means of transportation.
In order to ensure continuity of service, this update to the contract with TRIPPP Rideshare Consultants is amended to allow flexibility in the wheelchair accessible vehicle provider (WAV). No other portions of the contract are proposed and the Pfetch A Ride program for service remains unchanged. The program will continue to:
1) Cost per ride of $4 and offer a $10 voucher per ride with 10, $10 vouchers offered per account each month (cost of a ride over $14 is paid for by the rider)
2) Provide rides within the city limits and to Tech Ridge Park and Ride and Three Points Plaza, to and from Pflugerville
3) Riders requiring a wheelchair accessible vehicle will pay $4 per ride with no maximum on vouchers each month, and no cost per ride over $4
There are no costs related to the update to the contract, and funds for this program as approved in the FY25 budget, pay only for the rides provided.
