Summary
A new national opioid settlement has been reached with six regional distributors/dispenser defendants. Any entity that is entitled to participate must opt in to participate. If effectuated, the proposed settlement will result in the Six Remnant Defendants paying a combined $97,625,000 in cash for purposes of abating the opioid epidemic. This settlement will be distributed only and directly to any eligible entity that participates.
Based on the allocation formula, Pflugerville is allocated 0.0032887098% of the final settlement, approximately $321,000 based on the proposed settlement.
To date, the City has received over $58,000 from previous opioid settlements.
