Summary
As part of the lease of the City's property located across from Highland Park Elementary School for a communications tower, the tenant will be required to extend power to the site for their facility they are planning to build on the property. The tenant for the property lease, Vertical Bridge has been working with both Oncor Electric and the Highland Park North Homeowner's Association on extending electrical service from Cane River Road to the site that located on the southern portion of Kingston Lacy Boulevard. After extensive discussions with Oncor Electric delivery, the tenant has finalized the survey for the alignment and it has been agreed to by Oncor Electric to extend service. In addition to this easement, the tenant also needed to coordinate with the Highland Park North Homeowner's Association as the alignment would cross an existing landscape easement that the HOA holds. Through coordination with both City legal and the HOA, this consent to cross the landscape easement was approved by the Highland Park North HOA. The Consent Agreement was approved at the Highland Park HOA's June 9, 2025 meeting and is currently being routed for signatures. This consent will allow Oncor to construct the necessary electric infrastructure to serve the communications tower to eventually mount cellular equipment at the site.

On February 11, 2025, City Council approved the lease of City property on Kingston Lacy Blvd. for a communications tower to Vertical Bridge.
