Title

Discuss and consider action to approve a Professional Services Supplemental Agreement No. 2 with HR Green, Inc. in the amount of $419,003, for the Boulder Ridge Lift Station Rehabilitation Improvements Project, and authorize the City Manager to execute the same.

Summary

Request approval to award a Professional Services Supplemental Agreement No. 2 with HR Green, Inc. in the amount of $419,003, for the Boulder Ridge Lift Station Rehabilitation Improvements Project.

The Boulder Ridge Lift Station Rehabilitation Improvements Project will address critical capacity, reliability, and regulatory compliance needs at one of the City's wastewater facilities. This item supports the Residential and Node Development Pillar of the Strategic Plan.

The existing lift station was originally constructed in 1997 with a design capacity of approximately 0.33 million gallons per day. Since that time, the service area has expanded significantly, and the facility now serves peak flows of approximately 1.05 million gallons per day, exceeding its original design capacity by nearly three times.

During the design process, additional site and infrastructure deficiencies were identified that require expansion of the lift station footprint, replacement of aging infrastructure, and construction of new facilities to provide reliable long-term service. As a result, additional engineering services are required beyond the original scope of work.

The supplemental services include:

                     Floodplain analysis and permitting coordination.

Civil and structural design modifications required to meet floodplain regulations.

Electrical design updates, including elevation of electrical equipment to comply with code requirements.

Generator replacement evaluation, sizing, and design.

Additional WIFIA funding compliance and documentation requirements.

                     Travis County permitting support.

Additional bid phase and construction phase services associated with the expanded project scope.

These improvements support recommendations identified in the City's Wastewater Master Plan and will improve system reliability, operational resiliency, and regulatory compliance while accommodating future growth.
