Title

Approving a Professional Service Supplemental Agreement with Gupta and Associates in the amount of $78,275 for professional engineering services associated with the Surface Water Treatment Plant and Lake Pump Station Standby Generator Project.

Summary

This Professional Services Supplemental Agreement (PSSA) #1 is to add various additional design phase components to the original Professional Services Agreement with Gupta and Associates.  These components include a secondary electric service feed from Oncor, temporary generator specifications and procurement, bidding the Lake Pump Station as a standalone project, and advertising the project as a competitive-sealed-proposal (CSP) all in an effort to reduce construction timelines and make the water treatment plant and lake pump station more resilient.  This PSSA also addresses the specifications for the generators and allows for the City to pre-purchase the components of the project ahead of awarding a construction contract.

This PSSA ultimately allows for the design and construction phase services to be expedited as quickly as we can while also allowing for design and bidding of interim improvements to be completed until the permanent project is complete.
