Approving the Pflugerville Community Development  Corporation Executive Director to enter into a contract with Joe Bland Construction, L.P. not to exceed $2,382,550.50 for construction services associated with the Impact Way Extension  Phase III A & B project.

 

Summary

The Impact Way Road was partially extended  on the PCDC owned  property in 2014.  This project allows for extension of road and utilities to PCDC’s  remaining +/-24 acres in the One Thirty Business Park and follows the City and  PCDC strategic plans and Aspire 2040 to continue expansion of the park to the  South and West. The construction contract is for Impact Way Extension III A & B Project to complete  the road near the edge of the PCDC property and includes approximately 750 linear  feet of 12” water lines, 500 linear feet of 7’ x 4’ box culvert, 160 linear feet of 10’x6’  box culvert, 500 linear feet of 18’-36” storm sewer, 4 retaining wall structures, 940  linear feet of new 48’-wide asphalt roadway with sidewalks, grading, sitework, and  appurtenances, Emergency Access Driveway on Lot 3F to Sun Light Near Way.

 

The PCDC Board reviewed this project and voted to unanimously approve the Contract on March 16, 2022 , during a Regularly Called Meeting. The PCDC Board is forwarding it to the City Council for further consideration.

 

Prior City Council Action

City Council is the authorizing body of the Pflugerville Community Development Corporation (PCDC).  City Council approval is required for all PCDC contracts $50,000 or greater.

 

Deadline for City Council Action

Action is requested March  22, 2022.

 

Fiscal Impact: Total budget impact is $2,382,550.50. The project is expected to be completed within one year but will bridge two budget years. The FY22 budget currently has $1,958,300 remaining for this project expenditure. The PCDC FY23 Budget will provide for any remaining funds required in FY23. No amendment in FY22 is anticipated.
