Summary
TxDOT is changing the speed limit on FM 685 and this must be reflected in the city code of ordinances so that it can be enforced by the Pflugerville police department.
The City is amending Chapter 72 of the Code of Ordinances, specifically relating to speed limits on FM 685, by amending speed limits on existing streets with posted speed limits other than the 45 mph limit. This action updates the ordinance to ensure compliance with state law and enforce speed limits.
The speed limit will change on FM 685 to 45 MPH on the northbound and southbound SH 130 Northbound Frontage Road) to FM 1825 a distance of 2.359 miles.
