Summary
The City of Pflugerville solicited requests for qualifications from engineering and landscape architecture firms to perform design services, bidding and construction administration for the 2014 General Obligation Park Development projects.
The 2014 General Obligation Park Development Projects are: Highland Park North Park and the Mansions at Stone Hill Park.
Preparation of the final construction documents shall include but not be limited to: project design, topographic surveys where required, environmental assessment and environmental clearances, identification of utility conflicts, required utility adjustments and replacements, coordination with utility companies, preliminary and final opinion of probable construction cost, project manual and any other items necessary to successfully construct this project.
Status
City staff received nine (9) proposals. A review team made up of Engineering and Parks Department staff reviewed and scored the proposals. The review team decided to prepare a short list of candidates and interview the top four firms. Two firms were then selected and assigned one of the two park development projects. Studio 16:19 LLC was selected as the most qualified firm for the Highland Park North Development project based on the short listed interviews. Please note the interview scoring is not reflected in the initial proposal review and scoring that is attached.
Projected Future City Council Action
A future agenda item will be scheduled to approve the contract for the project. Staff anticipates negotiations to take place in the next month and a contract will be presented for Council review and consideration.
