Title
Approving an agreement with MWM Design Group in the amount of $150,100.00 for professional engineering services associated with preliminary engineering, final design, and construction phase services for the 2014 City of Pflugerville General Obligation Trail Development Gap project and authorizing the City Manager to execute the agreement.

Summary
The project will include preliminary design plans including a preliminary engineer’s opinion of most probable construction cost for 2014 General Obligation Bond Trail Development Gap projects located throughout Pflugerville per the City’s Trails Master Plan. The development plans shall include design, grading, erosion and sedimentation control, phasing and traffic control. City of Pflugerville citizens voted funding for design and construction of this project as part of the November 2014 General Bond Election.

Preparation of the final engineering construction documents shall include but not be limited to: topographic and boundary surveys, geotechnical investigation, hydraulics and hydrology including determination of any applicable bridge/multiple box culvert system, identification of utility conflicts, required utility adjustments and replacements, coordination with utility companies, determination of ROW/easement acquisition, preliminary and final engineer’s opinion of probable construction cost, project manual and any other items necessary to successfully construct this project.

Status
MWM Design Group was selected as the most qualified firm for this project on April 14, 2015. City staff began negotiation with MWM Design Group regarding a scope and fee for this project following Council’s approval of their selection.

Projected Future City Council Action
A future agenda item will be scheduled to approve a construction contract.

Fiscal Impact
This project funding was approved as part of the November 2014 General Obligation Bond.
