Title
Approving a professional services supplemental agreement with LJA Engineering, Inc., in the amount of $126,247.50 to perform work related to Traffic Signal Improvement Implementation, and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same.

Summary
The City of Pflugerville was awarded Transportation Alternatives Set-Aside (TASA) grant funds (from TxDOT) of $2,660,866 to construct Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) improvements at 15 intersections throughout the city. The improvements include adding accessible pedestrian signal countdown signal indicators, new and revised ADA ramps, new or upgraded signal poles and units, conduit, wiring, and battery backup units, new and revised pavement markings, and revised traffic signal timing to create adequate pedestrian crossing time and leading pedestrian intervals. The addition of Internally Luminated Street Name (ILSN) signs is also included in the scope.

This professional services supplemental agreement (PSSA) #2 has LJA Engineering, Inc continue from their initial engineering evaluation for the ADA intersection improvements (used to submit the TxDOT grant) to final preliminary schematic and engineering (PS&E) design. The cost incurred by the city for these engineering services contributes to the required 20% local participation match for the grant.
