Summary
The City of Pflugerville Engineering Department recommends LJA Engineering, Inc. to provide Design, Bid & Construction Phase Services for the Pfluger Farm Lane Roadway, Drainage and Utility Improvements project. The project will include design for a three-lane collector roadway with a 70-foot wide right-of-way along Pfluger Farm Lane connecting Town Center Drive to Pflugerville Parkway. The design of the roadway is in conjunction with the Arista Data Center project and is intended to be built in two Phases. Phase A will construct approximately 1,450 LF of roadway extending from Town Center Drive to the south. Also included in Phase A is the design and construction of water, wastewater and re-use water mains connecting Town Center Drive to Pflugerville Parkway. Phase B of the project is anticipated to construct the remainder of the roadway (approximately 3,150 LF) by the end of 2016 per an executed development agreement.
Design, Bid & Construction Phase Services for the Pfluger Farm Lane Roadway, Drainage and Utility Improvements project are to be performed for an amount not to exceed $1,014,011.86. Included in the amount are Design, Construction and Materials Testing. Refer to the attached Professional Services Agreement and Attachment 1: Scope of Services.
Prior City Council Action
LJA Engineering, Inc. was selected as the Engineering Consultant for this project on October 23, 2012.
Deadline for City Council Action
Staff is requesting approval on November 13, 2012 to maintain schedule.
Fiscal Impact
The project is being funded through the issuance of certificates of obligation as described in agenda item 8B on this agenda.
