Title
Approving a one time, 180-day extension for the Highland Park Portchester Castle Path Construction Permit (CON-13-001).

Summary
Construction Plans were approved on January 18, 2013 for an extension of Portchester Castle Path through future Phase D-6 in the Highland Park subdivision from its current terminus to the Highland Park eastern property line. At the Highland Park property line, Portchester Castle Path will connect to an extension of Town Center Drive in the Stone Hill Town Center development, providing enhanced connectivity in the area. Construction of the roadway is planned to occur at one time and while construction plans have been approved for the Highland Park section, plans are still under review for the Town Center Drive extension.

According to Subchapter 15(N)(4)(i) of the Unified Development Code, a construction permit will expire 90 days from the date the permit was issued, however Subchapter 15(N)(4)(j) allows the Planning and Zoning Commission to grant a one time, 180-day extension of the construction permit. A request has been submitted to allow for a one time extension of the permit.

Staff Recommendation
