Approving a Resolution to appoint Ms. Emily Barron, Planning Director, to serve as an alternate on the Technical Advisory Committee of the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization's (CAMPO) Transportation Policy Board.
Summary
The City of Pflugerville is within CAMPO's five-county planning area and has positions on both the Policy Board and the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC). The TAC is established to evaluate and render technical positions and recommendations regarding regionally significant transportation issues to the Policy Board. Given Ms. Barron's extensive transportation planning experience and experience in central Texas, staff recommends her direct involvement as an alternate. CAMPO is currently drafting the 2040 Transportation Plan.
Status
Currently, Pflugerville is represented on the Transportation Policy Board by Mayor Jeff Coleman. Mr. Tom Word is on the Technical Advisory Committee, and Mr.Trey Fletcher and Ms. Patricia Davis serve as alternates.

The most recent City Council action associated with CAMPO was the appointment of Mayor Coleman to the Transportation Policy Board on November 12, 2013.
