Summary
National Public Works Week is a celebration of the tens of thousands of men and women in North America who provide and maintain the infrastructure and services collectively known as public works. National Public Works Week is observed each year during the third full week of May to raise the public's awareness of public works issues and to increase confidence in public works employees who are dedicated to improving the quality of life for present and future generations.
In recognition of National Public Works Week, the City of Pflugerville will host a Public Works Open House on Friday, May 25, 2012 at the City of Pflugerville Central Wastewater Treatment Plant, 15500 Sun Light Near Way #B, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Citizens will have an opportunity to tour the facilities and learn more about the responsibilities of the Public Works Department.
