Approving the selection of Lockwood, Andrews and Newnam, Inc. (LAN) for the preparation of an update to the Wastewater Master Plan and authorizing the City Manager to enter into negotiations regarding a scope of work and fee proposal.
Summary
The City's Wastewater System Master Plan and Wastewater Model need to be updated to better reflect the City's wastewater strategy as discussed with the City Council. The consultant will take the current plan and modify the plan to include new assumptions and strategies for managing the City's Wastewater Utility.
The current wastewater master plan was adopted by ordinance on May 2008. A copy of the Ordinance is attached.
Status
LAN is currently under contract to develop a Water Master Plan and Water and Wastewater Impact Fees. This effort, together with the City's other master planning, is essential to fulfill the requirements to update the land use assumptions and capital improvements plan.
Fiscal Impact
The funding for this study will come from the Utility Fund Balance.
