Title

Approving a three-year DIR coop agreement not to exceed $148,000 with GTS to renew the City’s Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system, and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same.

Summary

The City’s subscription to Splunk Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solution is due for renewal. Our SIEM is used to assist our IT team in protecting a computer network by watching for suspicious activity. It gathers information from different sources-like computers and servers-then analyzes it for signs of hacking or unusual behavior in a central location.

The city proposes renewing our Splunk contract for three years instead of one for additional discounts and to lock in pricing.

The annual cost is presented below:
$47,426.63 due upon start date of 10/20/2024

$47,426.63 due before start date of 10/20/2025

$51,406.79 due before start date of 10/20/2026
