Title
Discuss and consider action to approve a professional services agreement with Kimley-Horn in the amount of $297,122 for professional engineering services associated with the Highland Park interceptor and decommissioning of Highland Park Lift Station project and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same.
Summary
This project involves installation of approximately 1,600 linear feet (lf) of 30-inch and approximately 1,400 lf of 24-inch sanitary sewer interceptor pipes along Wilbarger Creek west of State Highway (SH) 130 that will connect to the SH 130 wastewater interceptor. The 24-inch and 30-inch sanitary sewer interceptor pipes will be installed using open cut and bore construction methods and will be installed to a depth of 16 feet for the 30-inch pipe and 8 to 16 feet for the 24-inch pipe. This project also involves the installation of two (2) 72-inch and two (2) 60-inch manholes and decommission of the Highland Park Lift Station after completion of the interceptors along Wilbarger Creek west of State Highway (SH) 130.
Preparation of the final engineering construction documents shall include but not be limited to: project design, topographic surveys where required, geotechnical investigation, identification of utility conflicts, coordination with utility companies, determination of ROW/easement acquisition, preparation of ROW/easement acquisition metes/bounds and sketch, preliminary and final engineer’s opinion of probable construction cost, project manual and any other items necessary to successfully construct this project.
