Summary
The City’s subscription to Cohesity backup solution is due for renewal. The city proposes renewing our Cohesity contract for three years to lock in pricing. A backup solution is needed to protect important data from being lost due to unexpected events like hardware failures, accidental deletions, cyberattacks, or natural disasters. If something goes wrong, a backup allows you to recover your files and systems from offsite, thus minimizing downtime and avoiding costly data loss.
The annual cost is approximately $75,000 which exceeds our planned budget for FY25 ($65,000) due to additional resources needed to properly backup all systems.
