Summary
City of Pflugerville’s Home Rule Charter provides in Section 4.02 that the City Council shall appoint a municipal judge, who shall be an attorney licensed to practice law in Texas and a resident of the City and shall fix the compensation for that office and that all municipal judges shall serve at the will of the Council and shall receive compensation fixed by the City Council. This resolution affirms the automatic extension of the term of Municipal Judge Farren Sheehan for an additional two-year term beginning May 23, 2023 and ending May 23, 2025 with a 5% pay increase for an annual salary of $41,855, effective at the beginning the first complete pay period following the effective date of this resolution.
Prior City Council Action
City Council took action on April 24, 2018 to appoint Farren Sheehan as Municipal Judge with an annual salary of $38,701 for a term of two years.
City Council took action on November 24, 2020 to reappoint Farren Sheehan as Municipal Judge with an annual salary of $39,862 for a term of two years.
