Summary
This item was included per the request of Council for staff to provide an update on the status of the RFP for Delinquent Municipal Court Case Collection Services.
Advertisement began on May 12th and the RFP closed on May 24th. City staff will evaluate the proposals based on the criteria included in the RFP and will bring a recommendation to Council during the June 22nd Council Meeting for a new contract for services to begin July 1, 2021.
Prior City Council Action
On February 26, 2019, the City Council approved a contract for municipal court fines and fees collection services with Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson, LLP.
On April 13, 2021, Council directed staff to terminate the contract for municipal court fines and fees collection services between Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson, LLP and the City of Pflugerville, and to issue an RFP for said services.
