Summary
The overall goal for the Water Master Plan and Wastewater Master Plan is to develop a comprehensive Water Capital Improvements plan for the water distribution system and a Wastewater Capital Improvements Plan for the wastewater collection system.
Freese and Nichols, Inc. (FNI) was selected as the consultant for the City to develop a Water Master Plan, Wastewater Master Plan, Water Impact Fee and Wastewater Impact Fee with the intent to determine an identified Master Servicing Area and System Optimization for the water and wastewater infrastructure.
FNI was requested to revise the 5-Year Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) for the water distribution system and wastewater collection system based on updated growth patterns and revised service plans. The update would also provide timing of an anticipated 5-year developments and revised cost estimates for proposed CIP projects.
City staff continues to support the goals for providing water distribution and storage and a wastewater conveyance system. Both updated master plans as proposed confirms the operations of each system to enhance reliability, efficiency and capability to service existing and new customers well into the future.
Adoption of the updated Water Master Plan and updated Wastewater Master Plan will allow the City to maintain the current infrastructure and prepare for service demands as the City continues to grow.

Approve the amended Water and Wastewater Master Plans as presented
