Authorize the City Manager to execute an agreement with Cornerstone at Kelly Lane LLC for the design and development of a bid alternate for the Colorado Sand CIP project in an amount not to exceed $10,619.
Summary
Staff is currently under contract for design of the Colorado Sand CIP project with KFriese and Associates, Inc. The current design scope under the City contract is for a 2-lane section of Colorado Sand from Kelly Lane to the SH130 frontage road (see attached Exhibit 1). In conjunction with the design of the Colorado Sand roadway project, staff met with the landowner (Cornerstone at Kelly Lane LLC) who will be donating the Right of Way affiliated with roadway improvements. The developer has expressed an interest in funding the ultimate 4-lane section of Colorado Sand as a bid alternate to the construction plans. The City requested that Cornerstone at Kelly Lane LLC provide the necessary funds for the design and preparation of the bid alternate. The City design consultant provided a supplemental agreement in the amount of $10,619. Cornerstone at Kelly Lane LLC reviewed and has agreed to fund the supplemental agreement. Attached (see Exhibit 2) is the development agreement between to the City of Pflugerville and Cornerstone at Kelly Lane LLC for the reimbursement of funds necessary for the design and preparation of the bid alternate in the amount of $10,619.
