Summary
The City Charter, Section 4.06, requires that the City Manager shall appoint the head of each administrative department, subject to the approval of the City Council.
Assistant Planning and Development Services Director Jeremy Frazzell is recommended to be named the City's Planning and Development Services Director. In this role, he will be responsible for the divisions of the Planning and Development Services Department including the Building Department, planning, development services engineering, code compliance, environmental, development services administration and GIS. Mr. Frazzell has served as the City's Assistant Planning and Development Services Director since 2021. Mr. Frazzell's service to the community began in 2007 when he was hired as a Planner and was later promoted to Assistant Planning Director in 2016. He has a masters in Community and Regional Planning and is a member of the American Planning Association. As a planner, he has over 17 years of professional services to the cities of Manhattan, Kansas and Pflugerville.
