Discussion regarding New Sweden MUD 1 and Sorento MUD development and infrastructure proposal.
Summary
Over the past couple of months Council has considered items that will assist New Sweden in the development of New Sweden MUD 1 and on February 9th discussed the opportunity to expand Sorento MUD. This discussion item will discuss the opportunity to extend Pflugerville Parkway from Jesse Bohls to FM973, provide wastewater infrastructure that will be necessary in order to serve development in the Cottonwood Basin, and land considerations as it relates to New Sweden and Sorento MUDs.
Prior City Council Action
2007 - Council consent to New Sweden MUD Creation
December 8, 2020 - Council consented to the addition of road powers for New Sweden MUD 1.
January 12, 2021 - Council approved a resolution allowing for the submittal of a petition to exclude the city owned land from New Sweden MUD No. 1 boundary
Sorento (Travis County MUD 17) was originally consented to in 2005 and has since been amended by Council several times
