Discussion on tourism initiatives for Pflugerville.
Summary
With plans underway for two hotels and a conference center that will be on the ground in Pflugerville by 2016, the city is preparing initial tourism documents and materials. Staff has worked to develop a new tourism logo and would like to present it to the Council for their feedback. A logo will become the basis for the tourism campaign and its associated materials which could include a tourism website and other social media, billboards, joint advertising efforts with tourism attractions in the area, and videos about City activities and events. We want to encourage everybody to "Join in the Pfun".
Staff Recommendation
Staff is presenting this information in order to receive Council's feedback on the initial campaign and future suggestions for promoting visits to Pflugerville.
