Summary
The proposed agenda item requests approval of a conditional purchase agreement and associated conveyance documents between Kevin B. Finley (Parcel No.1) and the City of Pflugerville as necessary to acquire real property interests for the 15-Inch North Wilbarger Wastewater Interceptor Project and authorize the City Manager to execute the same. The 15-inch North Wilbarger Wastewater Interceptor Project is the construction of a wastewater line extension totaling approximately 1,600 LF from an existing connection crossing from the east to the west side of SH 130 to provide service to the area northwest of the highway interchange of SH 130 and SH 45 in the Wilbarger Drainage Basin.
This purchase agreement with Kevin B Finley conveys a utility and temporary construction easement necessary to construct the project. While this parcel was identified for eminent domain, staff continued negotiations which resulted in a resolution with the property owner for a settled amount of $80,000.00. This not only eliminated the need for the eminent domain process but also averted all associated additional costs.
Approval of this item will authorize the City Manager to execute the fee simple estate easement, and associated conveyance documents necessary for formal conveyance of the real property interests.
