Discussion regarding the Unified Development Code amendments.
Summary
The intent of this item is to provide a presentation outlining the proposed adjustments to the Unified Development Code SH130 and SH45 corridor development regulations and to allow for further discussion. The proposed adjustments are reflective of the Aspire 2040 plan which identified a variety of land use types proposed throughout the SH130 and SH45 corridor, including mixed use development, and the feedback received from City Council last year. The proposed amendments also reflect additional adjustments that have been made based on feedback that was received by the development community through their review of the initial drafts currently published on the website. The amendments have been discussed at the quarterly development pforum, were emailed out to known developers and property owners along the corridor, published on the website for review, and meetings have occurred to receive additional feedback or answer questions from the development community. Provided the proposed amendments are consistent with City Council's vision for the corridor, consideration of the amendments through the public hearing process is anticipated in August. Legal review of the draft has been provided with no substantive revisions required. Final versions for official consideration will ensure all adjustments are included.
